Candle Making Recipes

Do you need candle making recipes to get beautiful looking and smelling candles every time? With over 300 formulas to follow, you can’t go wrong with the Secrets to Successful Candle Making.

Let’s face it: candle making might not be complicated, but it can still be tricky to get the perfect combination of dye and scents. You can waste a lot of money on fragrances, dyes, wick, wax, and other candle making supplies – or you can invest $37 and have everything you need to know to make perfect candles each and every time that will have friends, family (and maybe even customers!) begging for more and more. Secrets to Successful Candle Making is one of those books that will easily pay for itself just alone in the cost of materials you can stop wasting.

Some people say using a recipe for soy wax candles or beeswax candles or even gel candles is boring, and takes away “all of the fun” of making your own scents. But I disagree with this. Because trust me, (and I’m sure you’ve been there, done that!) – it’s no fun at all to spend a lot of money on supplies, thinking you’re going to have a masterpiece, only to realize that your candle doesn’t smell strong enough, doesn’t have a scent you like, or it won’t set because it’s over-saturated with dye and fragrances. This book covers every possible type of candle you could think of making, whether you need beeswax candles recipes, soy wax candle recipes, or others.

Having recipes, a simple formula of different combinations makes life a lot easier. They’re all tried and tested – which means they are guaranteed to work! And you’ll love at least one of the 320 different flavors in the scent mixing guide of this book. (I’m sure more than one, I love almost all of them!) Whether you’re looking for delicious flavors like Pina Colada or Blueberry Muffin or Chocolate Covered Cherry or something relaxing and refreshing like Cucumber Melon, you’ve got to get this guide! Not only did it give me some great recipes for scents I couldn’t figure out on my own – it opened up my eyes to a lot of different fragrances I never would have even thought of on my own!

To me, the fragrance and scent mixing guide is well worth the price all on its own – but this book comes with even more extra incentives to buy. For starters, have you ever wondered if the way you make candles is really the best way? Do you sometimes think you’re wasting time or materials? No matter how little or much experience you have, I’m sure you’re going to learn a few new tricks you hadn’t thought of before!

And, even better – this book will show you step by step how to market your own candles and start your own business – a business you can run right from the comfort of your own home. I know that being able to stay home with my kids – and earn money at the same time – has been something that has radically changed my life, and I can’t encourage more people enough to do the same thing. It’s awesome.

Anyways, if you’re frustrated with not getting the right scent mixtures, or wondering if you’re really making candles in the best way possible, or even thinking of starting your own business – you need to get this book. Best of all, it’s an instant download, so you can start reading it immediately – and if you don’t like it? You can return it for a no questions asked 100% money back guarantee. Hopefully you’ll see the same value in it as I did, but if not – that’s okay. I’ve emailed Sarah (the author of the book) personally with questions and I was delighted that she responded right away – so I’m confident there will be little hassle if you should run into any problems.

What are you waiting for? Get over 300 candle making recipes now! Stop wasting money and time and struggling! (And maybe even make money by learning how to sell your candles!) It’s well worth it!

Make Money Selling Candles

Can you really make money by making and selling candles? This is a question many people always ask, because it seems too good to be true, especially if you love making things and the fragrances of candles. Starting your own candle business is exciting – and it can be wildly successful.

The answer to the question is of course yes – but if you really want to make money selling candles, then it pays to learn how to do it the right way so you don’t get frustrated and give up too soon.

If you want to run your own candle making business, then I  recommend the book Secrets to Successful Candle Making. It’s an ebook that is only available online, but it has everything you could possibly need to know about making candles and selling them. Not to mention, it comes with a 60 day 100% money back guarantee, so if you don’t learn something new, useful, or implement it and make no money, you can get your money back. Since you download it instantly, you can get started right away – and there’s no shipping fees or restocking fee if you decide to return it.

It’s not unusual to be afraid of starting your own business, I know I was terrified when I decided to work from home and be my own boss. And with so many options out there, it can be really tricky to decide what to do that you will really truly enjoy for the long haul – and make enough money that you can be satisfied. But, that fear quickly goes away once you start making money and having time to do the things you love.

If you want to make money selling your own candles, you’re going to need to have a few things:

Motivation: You’re your own boss – so no one is going to be breathing down your neck to get to work. Most people I know who make money doing this don’t need much motivation because they LOVE what they are doing. If you love making candles, then you probably have the right motivation.

Basic Computer Skills: Selling your candles online is the easiest, cheapest, and most successful way to earn more. You don’t need to be a specialty programmer or anything of the sorts – but you do need to at least be able to use the internet, upload pictures, and write a description about what you are selling.

Patience & Knowledge: You’re not going to make a million dollars overnight. It just doesn’t happen that way. But you will begin to earn money from candles within a few months, especially if you Buy a book that tells you exactly what to do. You can waste a lot of money if you’re not careful – but for $37 you can save a ton – and start seeing results much sooner.

I LOVE my job as a work at home mom. I’m here with my kids when they need me, and I get to do what I like to do best. And the extra money is amazing – I’ve replaced the same income I had from my lousy 8-5 “day job” that just drained everything out of me. I’m not a millionaire – but that’s not what I’m striving toward. Right now I want to be here for my kids and not have to worry about daycare or being too tired to cook dinner or doing a job that I hate that makes me feel like a robot.

There’s tons of ways to make money with candles, and I think making them yourself is the way to go. While there are companies that will pay you to sell their stuff, I tend to be skeptical of them. For starters, your own candles can be much better as far as scents and quality go – mass produced ones from stores and catalogs are usually of very low quality. Even popular name brands aren’t usually as good as the homemade types. I don’t really advocate businesses where you sell someone else’s candles, because they’re the ones who make all the profit – not you. They con you into buying a ton of stuff, pawning your goods onto family and friends, and the candles aren’t even that great of quality. Meanwhile, when you make your own, you keep ALL the profits – and you don’t have to beg people to buy them, because they’re of such high quality and because you can offer a better price – THEY COME TO YOU. Couple that with the internet, and you’ve got an easy business to run!

People always start thinking about stuff like taxes, business names, etc. etc. – these are easy to deal with and are just a poor excuse for not doing what you really want to do with your life. In my state it took about 20 minutes to register my business name. Taxes are a breeze – I simply track how much I make and how much I spend all year long, then input that info into TurboTax at the end of each year. If it makes you that nervous, you can always hire an accountant. States and countries vary as to what you’ll need to do, but if your state has a small business website (most of them do) then it will walk you through everything step by step. Trust me, it’s worth it – to not have a “real” job is the best thing in the world!

When you follow someone else’s steps and guidance, it’s a lot easier to hit the ground running also. Candle making is somewhat of an art – and getting the right scents, colors, and shapes can sometimes be difficult. A lot of people don’t want to make a $37 investment to learn all the tips and tricks – but this can easily pay for itself because you will have less mistakes, which means no buying products only to have to end up throwing them in the garbage. Knowledge always pays for itself! The 300 recipes in the book above is super powerful information to help you get started with proven and successful formulas – which means no wasting money.

You really can make money selling candles – all you need is the right information on how to do it.

Silicone Candle Molds

Silicone candle molds are gaining a lot of popularity amongst candle makers and so I thought I’d explain the pros and cons as well as show some of my favorite shapes. You can get them in many shapes, from hearts and stars to animals to others.

My favorite place to get them is from eBay because of the wide variety – not to mention the low prices. I’ve bid on some for less than a dollar!

Below you can see the most recent listings – and this list is updated live whenever new ones are added. You may want to bookmark this page and come back and visit it often if you are like me and constantly looking for new candle molds to try out! If you click on the “view more” link, you’ll be able to see all of them and be amazed at some of the incredible bargains!

So, now that you’ve seen some of these, let’s talk about the pros and the cons of using this type as opposed to the others available.

For starters, a silicone mold is very versatile – you can also use it for making soaps and tarts. Probably the biggest pro however is how easily the candles can be released. From my experience, some molds can be really hard to use, but the results with silicone ones tend to be nice and clean after the wax hardens and cools. The stretchiness of the material makes it so much easier for the release process. They also come in so many different shapes and sizes, so the variety is great, especially if you are making candles for a profit.

So what are the cons of silicone candle making supplies? Well, for starters they can be more expensive sometimes depending on where you get your candle making supplies. I listed ebay above because it is one of my favorites due to the variety and usually low prices – not to mention I can also find many more than what I would at my local craft store. Many can be bid on for less than a couple of dollars, making it much more affordable. The ones online can be new or used, which can help you get even save more money, since used ones typically cost much less and are still just as good. I’ve found though sometimes the extra cost is worth it – especially if otherwise you would be buying and using a releasing agent – that can more than pay for itself over time!

While some people still prefer the traditional aluminum candle shapes and molding supplies, silicone candle molds are quickly becoming a favorite!

How to Make Candle Molds

If you’ve ever wondered how to make candle molds, there are many different options you can consider to make your own designs and shapes. Almost anything can be used as a home made candle mold, as long as the candle wax can be removed easily after you allow for the wax to cool and harden.

Here are some ideas to help you make your own homemade candle molds, out of items you may have around the house or can easily get at most stores and craft or hobby shops.

Cardboard Carton: Whether it be a cereal box, a milk or orange juice carton, or other cardboard container, all of these things can be used as a great candle mold. It’s inexpensive and usually quite convenient. Simply pour the wax into the container and after waiting for the wax to completely cool and harden, unwrap the cardboard around it.

Use Sand: This can be a fun and unique way to make candles easily out of something you may have at home already. Simply fill a tub with wet sand and then create indentations to make the shape you want the candle to have. You don’t want the sand to be dripping, but wet enough that you can shape it easily. Using other things you have around the house can help you make perfect circles, stars, or other shapes. Then pour the candle and allow the wax to harden and cool. Then all you need to do is dig your candle out.

Cookie Cutters: If you have metal cookie cutters, they can be another thing to use for a candle mold. It will depend on the shape and size, but they typically can work.

Muffin Tin: A muffin pan tin works great for small candles or scented tarts. All you need to do is clean it, then pour the wax into it. A trick for getting the wax to come out is to place the pan in the freezer for 30 minutes to an hour and the wax will “shrink” making it easier for them to slide out.

Hope you enjoy these easy things to do and use for making your own candle molds, and of course, you can always learn more about using candle molds to learn more tricks and tips.
