Flameless Candles: Timer Convenience

Flameless candles are starting to gain more and more popular, especially amongst those living with pets or children who are concerned about safety. They also have added benefits of being able to set on a timer as well as light them with a remote, making them a great addition for decorating in places that can be tough to reach, such as on a high fireplace mantel or in a window.

When it comes to choosing battery operated candles there tends to be a trade-off. Do you want to have the flickering light, or do you want to a deep scent? These things have yet to be accomplished in the most popular candle alternatives. While some candle companies have instead started warming wax to give off the scents, there is still no replacement for that natural glow that a real candle with a flame gives off.

There have been a lot of advancements in flameless candles. They come in a variety of colors, such as having a yellow glow or giving off a red or pink light. They are also becoming more and more realistic looking, many of them having drip resin. And the convenience is undeniable. Being able to use electric flameless candles with a timer is great if you know you’d like them to turn on when it becomes dusk or some other time. Buying options also abound, as you can get them wholesale or buy them individually.

But you also have to take another thing into consideration: the cost of batteries. Buying batteries all of the time is not only expensive pretty quickly, but it also poses some risks for the environment as well, especially because most people aren’t truly aware of the right way to dispose of batteries properly. Though of course you could opt to get rechargeable batteries, it is still yet another expense for you to consider. Nobody wants to spend a lot of money on batteries if they can avoid it.

If you want the highly scented candle smell without the worry about the open flame, then the wax tarts are probably the best option for you. Most of these can be purchased inexpensively, and you simply place them on warmer. As the wax melts, the melt pool releases the fragrance into the air. From a scented viewpoint, you will likely not notice a lot of difference from this method because it still smells great. But there are still other concerns about the warming element, because you don’t want to place other things too close to it and you definitely don’t want to leave it plugged in for too long.

Although its questionable if flameless candles will ever replace the regular type of candles with flames that we’ve come to grow and love, it is always nice to see new inventions pop up to help make your home a more beautiful and better smelling place!
