Many people wonder and ask me all the time about the scents and colors meaning of candles. This goes back to many ancient times a really, really long time ago, as it was believed that burning certain colors would help you achieve different things. I really find this quite fascinating actually. While I haven’t really experimented this in great detail to know if this is true or not, I have always found the use of candles for bringing positive energies into your life quite intriguing.

Here’s a brief overview of candles colors meanings:

Red: Passion, fire, love, romance:
If you need to fire up your love life or add more passion or have something that is urgent, then red is the color candle you should burn to channel your energies into it.

White: Pure, Clean, Fresh, Gentle:
White is one of my favorite colors, and it is a good one to have. It often represents purity and cleanliness. So if you needed some help clearing your head to make a decision, white candles could be the ticket that you need.

Green: Money, Growth, Earth
Who doesn’t want more money? Well, I don’t know if burning a green candle will instantly make you rich, but if it smells good, I don’t see much harm in trying.

Blue: Loyalty, Truth, Calm, Serenity
This is a color you would burn if you needed to seek the truth in a situation or needed a calming effect on something.

Yellow: Friendship, Optimistic, Happiness
Yellow is a color that is typically associated with friendship, and feelings of being optimistic. It can also symbolize happiness. Think of the sunshine when you think of the color yellow and that is what you can use this color for.

Orange: Vibrant, Energetic
If you are feeling sluggish, tired, or need energy for something, the color orange is typically associated with helping people to feel much more energetic and vibrant. It is a great color to have.

Now you know what all the colors mean and can symbolize. Obviously, you should not fully expect or rely on these colors for the results they can bring, but it is pretty neat to learn about! For thousands of years, people have burnt candles of these different colors in the hopes that it would help them achieve the results they want and need. Who knows? It may even help you get the results you want! Though, as we said, don’t rely on this list of candle colors and their meanings too much!
